BlueGill Studios has announced Open Fire Gold for iPhone, a port of the popular PC arcade game, Open Fire Gold.

About The Game

Open Fire Gold blends strategy with arcade gameplay. It features two game modes: Timed and Survival mode where the object in each is to destroy as many tanks as possible before either time or health run out. The player is provided with rockets, land mines, weapons powerups and robotic turrets to aid them as they try to achieve the highest score possible. The game integrates the amazing OpenFeint platform to provide Achievements, Leaderboards, Chat, IM, and Facebook and Twitter integration.

Exactly once year ago, we released Open Fire Gold for the Mac. A month later, we pumped out Open Fire Gold for Windows. Now we’re pleased to announce yet one more version of OFG! Open Fire Gold for iPhone!

To celebrate both achievements, we’re giving out 25 copies of both Open Fire Gold and Open Fire Gold  for iPhone (that is, each of the 25 winners receive a copy of OFG for both platforms) and two $5 prizes (plus free copies of OFG to boot!).

RULES CONCERNING THE DRAWING:

TO ENTER:
Provide your e-mail address and fill out the entire survey to be automatically registered for the Drawing and will receive our newsletter. To unsubscribe, please follow the instructions in the confirmation email. Only electronic responses will be accepted.

Entries must be received by BlueGill Studios (“BlueGill”) no earlier than 11:59 pm on February 2, 2010 and no later than midnight on March 14 2009 GMT -6 (“eligibility period”) to be eligible for the drawing to be held on March 16 2010 at 11:00 pm GMT -6 (“Drawing”).

ELIGIBILITY:
The winner will be chosen from those entrants who have signed up for our newsletter and filled out the survey during the eligibility period, and whose entry fully complies with these Rules. Subscribers must enter during the eligibility period in order to become eligible for the Drawing.

Only one entry is allowed per e-mail address.

All entrants who have canceled their subscription to Bluegill’s newsletter before the end of the eligibility period shall be automatically disqualified from the Drawing.

Each winner must provide a valid PayPal email address when filling out the survey. We will notify each winner within five business days after the Drawing. If the email address provided is not a valid PayPal address, BlueGill will select another winner.

PRIZE #1:
The Prize is a cash prize of $5 USD and a copy of Open Fire Gold for Mac/PC and Open Fire Gold for iPhone/iPod Touch. Two Prizes will be awarded this Drawing.

PRIZE #2:
The Prize is a copy of Open Fire Gold for Mac/PC and Open Fire Gold for iPhone/iPod Touch. Twenty-five Prizes will be awarded this Drawing.

Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.

DRAWING:
Twenty-seven winners will be selected within the next five business days following the closing of the eligibility period by random drawing. BlueGill will also select up to twenty-seven alternate entries who shall, in the order drawn, replace the winner should said winner become ineligible.

The number of eligible entries received will determine the odds of winning. If, for any reason, the Drawing cannot be conducted as originally planned, BlueGill may cancel, suspend or modify the Drawing in any respect.

A list of winners’ names, will be posted on BlueGill’s website.

The Drawing is open to individuals age 18 or higher at the date the entry is made.

The Drawing is void where prohibited by law.

BlueGill may disqualify any individual it believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Drawing, or to be acting or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any person.

By entering the Drawing, each entrant agrees that the decisions of BlueGill are final and binding in all respects, and waives all of the following: claims of ambiguity with the Rules, claims that BlueGill is responsible or liable for any injury or damage of any kind in connection with his/her participation in the Drawing, any typographical errors in Drawing promotional materials, any mailing delays, any error or mistake in communicating with any winner, any claim for any incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, and/or all other errors or omissions, even if caused by BlueGill’s negligence.

Announcing Open Fire Gold for iPhone

You may have noticed (a long time ago) that the blog wouldn’t load. We noticed this around September of last year, and didn’t see any easy way to fix it. Then we forgot about it, remembered, and tried to fix it. Each time we were unsuccessful, so we created a new database and re-installed WordPress.

Unfortunately we can’t display the older posts yet, but the good news is that we can blog again!
